Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how StudyBomb (“Extension,” “we,” “us,” “our”) handles information when you install and use the StudyBomb Chrome extension.
2. Applicability
This Policy applies world-wide and is created to meet the core notice requirements of GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and other major privacy laws. It covers only the StudyBomb browser extension and does not apply to third-party sites or services you may access through it.

StudyBomb collects no personally identifiable information, does not track you across sites, and never sells or shares data for advertising.
4. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
We process the limited data above under the legal bases of “legitimate interests” (to deliver expected extension features) and “performance of a contract” (providing the extension you installed).
5. Third-Party AI Service – Google AI Studio
If you paste your own Google AI Studio API key to call Gemini models, requests are sent directly from your browser to Google. We do not receive, log, or control those requests. Please review Google AI Studio’s Privacy Policy for how Google handles such data.
6. How We Share Information
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any extension-processed data with third parties. Clipboard and download permissions are invoked only when you click Copy or Download.
7. Cookies & Similar Tech
StudyBomb sets no cookies, uses no tracking pixels, and performs no server-side analytics.
8. Data Security
Data is protected by Chrome’s sandbox, Manifest V3 rules, and your operating-system safeguards. We do not add extra encryption atop Chrome storage.
9. Data Retention
Local data stays until you:
Clear StudyBomb data via Settings → Clear Local Data,
Clear your browser cache, or
Uninstall the extension.
10. International Transfers
StudyBomb itself performs zero cross-border transfers because data never leaves your device. If you enable Google AI Studio, your data may be processed on Google’s global servers under Google’s terms.

12. Children’s Privacy
StudyBomb is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly process information about them.

All Studybomb personnel complete annual privacy training and must follow strict confidentiality obligations. Our design philosophy is “local-first & data-minimal.”
